On a heavy reddish brown marble tabletop supported by an Atlas figure and partially covered by an oriental carpet, exquisite silversmith work, finest drinking glasses, exotic fruits, precious white bread, and a porcelain jug with a silver lid are lavishly put on display. This octagonal shaped jug is a wine carafe of the type produced in underglaze blue technique, mostly on commission from the Dutch East India Trading Company in China, while its silver lid is a later addition made in Europe.
