The artist’s composition of ‘The Resurrection’ is more lavish than ‘The Arrest of Christ’. Christ stands next to the tomb as in a sculptural devotional group; the angel points to him as an admonishment to the viewer. Those guarding the tomb perfectly capture various different stages between deep slumber and sudden awakening.
